Surf Girl Nation
Surf Girl Nation was formed in 2002 by a group of ten friends and is now blossoming with over 400 members. We connect women who surf around the world. Our home break in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica has great waves and chick-friendly vibe in the water. It doesn’t matter if you are learning or you’re a ripper, we can all learn something from each other. Join our blog: bikinis that stay on, best sunscreens, surf girl in the news, Costa Rica travel, and our cool community.

Words from Bennison (Benny) Lopez, founder of Surf Girl Nation: “In 2002, I stumbled upon Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, a surf mecca with year round waves, friendly locals, and great community. In the early years, I realized that I progressed faster and had more fun when I surfed with other women. This revelation became the basis for my career as a surf instructor, retreat organizer, leader, and go-to-girl for travelers in Costa Rica.”
